About Lombardini<\/b><\/h1>\n

Lombardini produces disel and gasoline engines for different vehicles and machinery: ships, moor cars, farming and construction machines, garnening equipment. Diesel engines are prduced in power range from <\/span><\/span><\/span>8 up to 75 kW. Produced engines include both air-cooled and liquid-cooled versions. History<\/span><\/span> of<\/span><\/span> Lombardini<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

The first Lombardini engine was manufactured in 1922 by \u0410<\/span>delmo Lombardini together with Pietro Slanzi in a province of Reggio Emilia.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On May, 22nd<\/sup>, 1933, together with his brothers Alberto and Rainero, Adelmo launched their own business and founded the company \u201cOfficine Meccaniche Fratelli Lombardini\u201d. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

After the World War 1 Lombardini offered diesel and gasoline engines for tractors and vessels.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On July, 17th<\/sup>, 1934 the company produced 500 engines: 482 \u2013 for gasoline fuel and 18 \u2013 for diesel. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On February, 3rd<\/sup>, 1950 the company sold its first engine abroad, more exactly to India. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In 1957 the company starts to produce single-cylinder air-cooled diesel engines.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In 1964 Lombardini founded his first foreign office in France. The same year is marked with death of Lombardini founder – Adelmo Lombardini. His son Franco succeeded him.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In 1965 – 1967 foreign offices were opened in Germany and Spain.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the 1970s the company made substantial investments in technological modernization. The same year was noted for Lombardini\u2019s production of first small-displacement direct-injection diesel engine.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The three-million engine rolled off the production line on November, 29th<\/sup>, 1988. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

December, 12th<\/sup>, 2007 Lombardini joined the company KOHLER Group (USA), thus enlarging its product range with gasoline engines, particularly well-suited for lawn and garden equipment.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
